About Waterfall Resort
The legend of Waterfall Resort Alaska started more than a century ago, when commercial fishing pioneers founded Waterfall Cannery near a natural waterfall amid 52 acres of rugged wilderness on Prince of Wales Island. They chose this location, on the island’s western shore, because the surrounding waters were known for phenomenal fishing and epic salmon runs. The resort, which renovated the historical cannery in 1982, enjoys this abundant fishery and beautiful, forested setting.
Waterfall Group, now a part of Harp Group, delivers extraordinary outdoor experiences in the inspiring, authentic Alaska destination, with proven expertise in adventure hospitality management on land, on the water, and in the air. Two all-inclusive Alaska sport fishing lodges in southeast Alaska are operated: Waterfall Resort Alaska, a stunning, 52-acre property renovated from a historic salmon cannery on Prince Wales Island, and Steamboat Bay Fishing Club, a small luxury-focused property on Noyes Island. A 90-minute flight from Seattle, resort guests are greeted at the Ketchikan airport and taken to the resorts by float plane.
