The closing ceremony of the Responsible Gaming Promotions 2021, titled “Lost Control, Lose Family”, was held Wednesday where 26 social service students who have completed the Macau Gambling Instructor Professional Certificate Course and 57 people who have completed the “Macau Responsible Gaming Instructor Certificate Course” were awarded certificates to improve the professional service level of Macau’s practitioners.
Co-organized by the Social Welfare Bureau, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) and the Institute for the Study of Commercial Gaming at the University of Macau, the ceremony was held in the Conference Hall of the Science Museum. This year was the 13th year the three organizations have worked together to organize Macau’s Responsible Gaming Promotions, emphasizing the importance of family education via a series of community and online activities.
They have also worked closely with Macau’s six concessionaires to run various workshops and roadshows for employees, such as training courses, parent-child theatre shows, seminars and online courses to strengthen employee family relationships and deepen their training around responsible gambling.
O MEDIA, parent company of Inside Asian Gaming, was also awarded a “Certification of Appreciation” at Wednesday’s ceremony, for its support of this year’s campaign, with IAG Vice Chairman and CEO Andrew W Scott accepting the award on stage.
