Tampa Bay finished the job on Wednesday night in the Bronx. The Rays’ 4-3 win in Game 3 completed a three-game sweep of the New York Yankees in the American League Division Series, sending Tampa Bay to its third AL Championship Series, sealed by Bryan Baker’s save on October 7, 2026, according to the official highlight package.
The game turned twice: on rookie Victor Mesa Jr.’s tiebreaking two-run homer in the sixth, and on a crew-chief review that same inning that converted a would-be game-tying Yankee home run into an RBI double after a fan reached over the fence. Tampa Bay outscored New York 10-5 across the series, and the Yankees never scored more than three runs in a game.
The full Game 3 highlights below come from MLB’s official YouTube channel. They run through the scoring, the reviewed play and the final three outs, the whole arc of an October night that three home teams, New York, Atlanta and San Diego, ended eliminated on the same day for the first time in postseason history.
